A starting price is a starting conversation. Here is how to approach a bathroom, basement, commercial space or accent wall project with A-BUILDER in the Maple Grove area.
What our starting prices mean
Our turnkey bathroom projects start at $25,000. Custom man cave projects start at $200,000, and accent wall projects start at $6,000. Standalone basement remodeling and commercial work are priced individually. These are A-BUILDER’s project starting points, not market averages or a quote for your property.
The final proposal depends on the existing conditions, the agreed scope, material selections and the work required. Before comparing two estimates, check that they cover the same work.
Bathrooms: look beyond the tile
For a bathroom remodel, discuss whether you are keeping the layout or moving fixtures, what needs to be removed, and which surfaces and fixtures will be replaced. Ask how preparation, waterproofing, plumbing, electrical work and finishing are addressed in the proposal.
A useful first conversation starts with photographs of the whole room, approximate dimensions, the problems you want to solve and your preferred finishes. Existing conditions can change what is practical; a photo-based discussion does not replace an on-site assessment.
Basements and man caves are different scopes
A finished basement and a fully customized private retreat can involve very different work. Our $200,000+ starting point is for custom man cave projects, not every basement renovation.
Begin with how you want to use the room: movies, entertaining, games, storage or a combination. Identify must-haves and optional features separately. Discuss existing moisture concerns, access, ceiling conditions, utilities and any proposed bathroom or bar before choosing finishes.
Commercial projects: define the operation
A commercial project begins with the business’s use of the space, the desired opening date and whether the premises will remain occupied during the work. Landlord requirements, responsibilities, permits and trade scopes need to be clarified for the specific project.
Share available plans, the space’s current condition and the intended use. We can then discuss the work and our GC partnership with NCR Enterprise LLC where applicable. Commercial pricing is project-specific.
Accent walls: one surface, many decisions
Our accent wall projects start at $6,000. Wall dimensions, the existing surface, material, pattern and surrounding trim all help define the work. If the design includes lighting or built-ins, identify those requirements at the outset.
Custom projects: define the result
A sauna, a fabricated shelf, an unusual workspace or a vehicle interior may not fit a standard remodeling package. Start with the purpose, constraints and the quality of result you want. Design development, fabrication and installation are part of the scope—not simply time on site.
